Little Dean

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Dean Ng, known to many as Little Dean, works across illustration, painting, drawing and graphic design. His portfolio moves easily between geometric abstraction, colourful figurative work and calm landscapes, with line studies, checks and stripes sitting alongside portraits and playful cats. He takes his cues from the great artists of the past, especially the Bauhaus and mid-century design. A pared-back, Scandinavian sense of balance ties it all together. Born and raised in Malaysia, Dean found his passion for art early and, with no formal training, taught himself the craft, building a varied body of work led by curiosity rather than convention.
