    • Two white egrets over a misty ink landscape, a dark peak rising through green and grey washes and a red disc as sun
    • A lynx at full stretch painted in short dry strokes on bare kraft, front paws reaching and one amber eye looking ahead
    • A curtain of small leaves hanging from the top edge and thinning as it falls, drawn in black and pale straw on grey
    • One large bloom and its leaves cut from a single rust brown block on bare kraft, stems running the full height

Red Moth lays a single moth across kraft paper with its wings fully opened, drawn in soft olive and grey with blocks of bright red set along the leading edges. The body is built from dry pencil strokes that follow the direction of the scales, while the red patches are flat and hard edged, so two quite different techniques sit against each other on the same insect. The paper is left bare everywhere else, with no branch, no shadow and no frame inside the frame. It is a specimen study without the specimen case.

    Styling tips

A thin black frame could work well here, since the kraft ground is warm enough to carry a hard edge. Oak softens the whole thing if you want the red quieter. Above a bed or a desk the wide format gives the moth room to spread. It pairs nicely with walnut, warm whites and a single dark green accent.

    Size guide

The size of our posters always refers to the actual paper size — not the motif. Some posters include a white border that frames the artwork, similar to a passepartout. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the product description and is also visible in the product images.

Our sizes in cm and inches:

    • 21x30 cm / 8.3x11.8"

    • 30x40 cm / 11.8x15.7"

    • 40x50 cm / 15.7x19.7"

    • 50x50 cm / 19.7x19.7"

    • 50x70 cm / 19.7x27.6"

    • 70x100 cm / 27.6x39.4"

When choosing a frame, make sure to match it to the poster size. Our frames are designed to fit our posters exactly — a 50x70 cm poster takes a 50x70 cm frame. No trimming or adjusting needed.

We offer a wide range of sizes to suit any wall, from smaller formats perfect for shelves and art walls, to larger statement pieces that anchor a room. Not sure which size is right for your space? Feel free to contact us — we're happy to help.

    MEET THE ARTIST

    Josie George

Drawing endless inspiration from the natural world, Josie translates botanical forms and intricate patterns into richly layered compositions. Her work balances delicate technique with bold, confident detail, each piece carrying a vintage sensibility that feels both nostalgic and current. A self-taught artist, Josie came to art after a career in the medical field, and that precision and patience still shows — an eye trained to notice detail now turned toward beauty. She builds each design layer by layer, letting pattern and colour carry a story of their own, and her work has found a home in collaborations with notable brands, resonating for its rich detail and timeless, storytelling quality.
