Vintage butterfly poster with beautifully arranged specimens in muted blue, brown, black and soft red tones against a warm beige background. The classic scientific layout gives the artwork a timeless, collected feel, while the airy spacing keeps the look light and refined. It brings a calm decorative touch to the wall and works especially well in interiors that mix natural colours with antique or curated details. The poster suits a living room, hallway or bedroom where you want something elegant with character. Its neutral base makes it easy to style with wood, linen and darker accents, while the detailed motifs add interest without feeling busy. A lovely choice for anyone drawn to botanical and natural history art with a vintage expression.

Styling tips

A vintage butterfly study like this could work beautifully in a living room, hallway, or home office where you want to add quiet character and a sense of curiosity. It pairs nicely with light oak frames, warm walnut, or a slim black frame if you prefer a more graphic, gallery-style look. Soft neutrals, muted greens, and dusty terracotta tones in textiles or ceramics could echo the natural palette and help the print feel settled in the room. For a layered Nordic feel, it could also sit well alongside botanical prints, antique-inspired pieces, and simple furniture with clean lines.

Size guide

The size of our posters always refers to the actual paper size — not the motif. Some posters include a white border that frames the artwork, similar to a passepartout. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the product description and is also visible in the product images.

Our sizes in cm and inches:

21x30 cm / 8.3x11.8"
30x40 cm / 11.8x15.7"
40x50 cm / 15.7x19.7"
50x50 cm / 19.7x19.7"
50x70 cm / 19.7x27.6"
70x100 cm / 27.6x39.4"

When choosing a frame, make sure to match it to the poster size. Our frames are designed to fit our posters exactly — a 50x70 cm poster takes a 50x70 cm frame. No trimming or adjusting needed.

We offer a wide range of sizes to suit any wall, from smaller formats perfect for shelves and art walls, to larger statement pieces that anchor a room. Not sure which size is right for your space? Feel free to contact us — we're happy to help.
