Sharyn Bursic is a self-taught, naive figurative artist whose work captures the beauty and humour in everyday life. With a playful, intuitive approach, she creates vibrant paintings across watercolour, acrylic, and oil, filled with whimsical yet heartfelt depictions of everyday moments: a cat lounging on a lap, people sharing a quiet evening with a glass of wine, animals caught in a candid, relaxed pose. Her distinctive style brings warmth and charm to familiar scenes, inviting viewers to see the extraordinary in the simple day-to-day. Alongside her figurative work, Sharyn also explores abstract painting, where her playful use of colour and form reflects the same joy she finds in the world around her.
