Blue Vases

Blue Vases is a pair from Postery Atelier, built around one simple motif. Blue Vase I shows a vase marbled with flowing dark blue lines, and Blue Vase II a smooth blue vase with rust-brown handles on a green checked base. Both sit on the same soft beige background, so they read as siblings rather than twins. Hung side by side in 30x40 cm, the pair is small enough for a bedside wall or a narrow space, yet the clear cobalt blue gives it plenty of presence. It brings a fresh, graphic touch to a calm bedroom, a hallway or a dining corner.

Styling tips

• A blue frame on one print and oak on the other is part of the idea. The blue deepens the colour, and the oak adds warmth.
• Echo the checked base of Blue Vase II with a checked rug in sage and cream, as in the picture.
• Add one or two blue textiles, like a cushion or pillowcase, so the colour is repeated across the room.
• A single orange flower in a small glass on a wooden stool picks up the rust-brown handles.

Hang the wall

With 6 cm between the frames, the pair measures about 70 × 45 cm. It works well above a bedside table, a small chest or furniture that is 90–100 cm wide. Without furniture directly below, place the centre 145–150 cm from the floor. Hang Blue Vase I in the blue frame on the left and Blue Vase II on the right, with the top edges level.
