Welcome to Postery! How are you?

    Good, and you?

    What is your artistic background?

I studied Library Science, and my artistic background comes from my family. My mum is a hand weaver, and my parents are very creative and educated me in an artistic environment. My dad used to work in textiles too, and hand dyed my mum's work with natural colours. In my 20s, I played drums in a band in Barcelona, and I have always been very passionate about music. But I'm not sure where this comes from!

How did you get passionate about art?

Since I have memories, I have always been passionate about aesthetics and beauty. Also, I've always been pretty creative, so I guess that's related.

Did you follow a specific theme?

Depending on the moment, I always follow what I'm in the mood for. And that's usually things I have around me; women, nature, youth, Barcelona.

What's most important to you in the creative process?

It is to be comfortable enough, alone or with a team, to be relaxed and be able to follow my instinct. When there are too many inputs, and I can't listen to myself, I get blocked and disappear.

    What's your source of inspiration?

I should say books, literature and films, but it's basically Instagram lately, hehe — which is a really bad idea!

    Where do you live/reside?

    Barcelona.

Does your residential place have an impact on your art?

100%. I would like to think that my surroundings shouldn't affect my state of mind and vision, but I'm still at the point where I'm directly connected to my surroundings. If it rains, I'm nostalgic, and if it's sunny, I'm happy. It's as simple and basic as that. Also, I'm pretty obsessed with Catalan architecture, especially with modernism. I try to shoot as much as possible in places related to my culture, and I'm fascinated by handmade crafts and the colours of modernism.

How do you see your prints in an interior setting?

Like a breath and a ray of light!

What do you like doing when you are not creating?

Resting a lot, trying not to create at all and letting my brain breathe.

Name one thing you don't like while being creative?

Listening to reggaeton while I'm working gets me really nervous and in a very bad mood.

What will we never find in your home?

    Parties, hehe.
