Geometric Shapes Poster

Broad planes of dusty pink, clay and cream overlap like walls seen from close range, with a column of light running up the right-hand side. One thin crimson stroke interrupts the pale field, and a warm ochre curve rises from the bottom edge. The paper grain shows through every plane, so the colours stay matte and slightly chalky. Nothing is outlined; the shapes are separated only by the change in tone. It reads as architecture at one distance and as pure colour at another, which is the whole trick. Look for long enough and the planes stop being walls and become colour again.
