    Styling tips

    Black sharpens the burgundy and picks up the boots, while oak pulls the whole thing towards folk art. It suits a room with warm textiles, kilims, wool and terracotta, and holds its own against a strong wall colour. Hung low over a bench or leaned on the floor it keeps the informal tone the motif asks for. A wide mat board would fight the painted borders, so keep the framing simple.
