    In the same series

    • Dozens of torn greige fragments fitted edge to edge into one block, floating on a bare off white sheet
Simple rectangular light wood picture frame on a white background
    • A network of deep blue triangles painted with a loaded brush on warm greige, a paler offset version sitting behind
Simple rectangular light wood picture frame on a white background
    • One heavy black line doubling back over greige until it encloses several rough chambers, the dry brush split throughout
Simple rectangular light wood picture frame on a white background

Scatter places nine small flat shapes across a warm greige canvas with generous space between every one, each colour used exactly once and every edge hand cut rather than ruled. The woven surface gives the open ground a texture that keeps it from reading as empty, and the small flat colours hold their edges against it. As wall art it has a more elevated, gallery like presence and arrives ready to hang. A float frame adds a narrow shadow gap around the edge and makes canvas the more exclusive of the two formats.

    Styling tips

Hung as it comes, the canvas keeps all the air around the shapes, which is what the picture is built on. A float frame in light oak could work well if you want it contained. Above a sofa it brings colour into a neutral room without dominating. It pairs nicely with grey linen, pale pine and one bold accent.

    Size guide

The size of our posters always refers to the actual paper size — not the motif. Some posters include a white border that frames the artwork, similar to a passepartout. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the product description and is also visible in the product images.

When choosing a frame, make sure to match it to the poster size. Our frames are designed to fit our posters exactly — a 50×70 cm poster takes a 50×70 cm frame. No trimming or adjusting needed.

We offer a wide range of sizes to suit any wall, from smaller formats perfect for shelves and gallery walls, to larger statement pieces that anchor a room. Not sure which size is right for your space? Feel free to contact us — we're happy to help.

    Material

Our posters are printed on 200 g/m² premium matte paper made from FSC® Mix Credit Paper 100%. The paper is archive-proof, meaning it won't yellow over time, and all printing is done in modern facilities with ISO 14001 certification.

Our frames come in a variety of colours and materials, all ethically sourced and produced with care for people and the environment. Available in multiple sizes to suit any wall and any home. If you have any questions about our products, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.

Our products are sourced from carefully selected suppliers across the Nordics, Europe, and Asia. For example, our posters are printed at leading printing facilities in Northern Europe, certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and operating as 100% climate-neutral since 2011.

We care about the conditions under which our products are made. If you'd like to know more about the origin or production conditions of a specific product, reach out to our customer support team — we're happy to share what we know.

    MEET THE ARTIST

    Mareike Böhmer

Mareike Böhmer is a freelance artist from Germany whose work spans abstract art and nature photography. Her journey began in 2012 with vibrant, geometric abstract graphics, before frequent travels to Scandinavia softened her approach, drawing her toward more organic forms and a gentler colour palette. In the past year and a half, she has expanded into larger-scale paintings on canvas, alongside her earlier paper-based work, while her photography leans into minimalist composition and distinctive lighting, capturing the same meditative balance she finds in nature. Her work has been featured in interior magazines including ELLE Decoration, Schöner Wohnen, and VTwonen, and is part of select collections at IKEA.
