Noël Poster

Noël fills the whole sheet with one word, set in a high-contrast serif and printed in deep fir green on warm off-white. The letters run over two lines and are cropped hard at every edge, so the composition reads as shape as much as text. Two round dots sit above the E, which gives the word its rhythm and keeps the eye moving. Nothing else is on the page, and that restraint is what makes it work beside a set table or a wall of smaller frames. Green and cream carry the season without a single literal ornament.

Oak could work well here, warming the cream ground and letting the green stay crisp. It pairs nicely with a linen tablecloth, green glass and brass candleholders — the palette is already in the room at Christmas. Above a dining table it anchors the setting, and in a gallery wall it works as the loudest piece with quieter botanicals around it. Put it up in late November and it earns its place through the whole season.
