Maroon Canvas

Maroon carries soft biomorphic shapes in deep oxblood, tan and pale sand across the canvas, with one dark looping line threading through the centre and a streaked band of sand running down behind it. The woven surface suits the lightly distressed finish of the artwork and deepens the darker fields without flattening the lighter ones, so the warmth of the palette carries further than it does on paper. As wall art it has a more elevated, gallery like presence and arrives ready to hang. A float frame adds a narrow shadow gap around the edge and makes canvas the more exclusive of the two formats.

Hung as it comes, the canvas lets the oxblood run to the edge, which gives the motif more presence than paper does. A float frame in oak could work well if you want to lift the warm tones further. Above a bed or a chest of drawers it anchors a neutral wall. It pairs nicely with cream linen, terracotta and mid toned wood.
