    Curved Abstracts

    2 posters · 2 × 50x70 cm

Curved Abstracts I and II by Alma are painted in deep burgundy, blush, peach and warm off-white, with a touch of soft grey. Large rounded forms are layered over flat blocks of colour, and a burgundy shape returns in both posters, so the pair reads as one composition. Hung side by side in 50x70 cm, they bring warmth and weight to a light wall without feeling heavy. The palette is richer than beige but never loud, which makes the pair easy to live with in a living room corner, a bedroom or a hallway.

    Styling tips

    • Oak frames bring out the peach and beige in the prints. If you prefer a sharper look, black frames make the burgundy feel more graphic.
    • Pick up the burgundy in one or two small things, like a cushion or a vase, so the colour returns somewhere else in the room.
    • Natural textures such as rattan, linen and light oak keep the corner soft, while a chrome chair, as in the picture, adds a cool contrast.
    • A warm greige wall lets the off-white areas of the prints stand out, and side light from a window brings out the brushed texture in the burgundy.

    Hang the wall

With 6 cm between the frames, the wall measures about 110 × 75 cm. It works best above furniture that is 140–160 cm wide, such as a sofa or a sideboard. In a corner without furniture below, as in the picture, place the centre of the pair 145–150 cm from the floor. Keep the top edges level and leave more space towards the corner than between the frames.

    Alma

Alma is a design and art studio inspired by natural colours, movements and textures. With a keen eye for organic and pure forms observed in everyday life, both in a scenic landscape and in a banal situation, they seek expression through the aesthetic languages of minimalism, abstraction and geometry. Their process is one of quiet refinement — distilling each piece down to only what truly belongs, allowing balance and simplicity to do the talking. The result is work that carries a calm, grounding presence, settling naturally into the spaces and rhythms of daily life.
