Hazed Dawn Poster

Hazed Dawn looks out over flat water at the moment before the sun appears. The sky runs from pale lilac through apricot to a cool grey at the horizon, and the sea beneath it holds the same light in soft teal and green bands. A long exposure has smoothed the surface completely, so the only movement is the faint vertical column of reflected light down the middle. The horizon is a thin darker line and nothing else interrupts it. It is the quietest of the four seascapes and the easiest to live with.

Pale oak, white or a slim aluminium frame all suit the cool palette, and a wide mat board makes it calmer still. It works above a bed or in a bathroom where the light is soft. Pair it with linen, pale wood and matte ceramics rather than anything warm or glossy. It sits comfortably in a grid with the other Opa Studio squares.
