A cross-stitch sampler photographed close enough to count the threads. Home for the Holidays is worked in red script across a linen ground, above a winter scene with a wicker sleigh, a candlelit tree, wrapped gifts and snow-laden firs running back to pale mountains. A tartan border in red, green and navy frames the whole panel. Every element is built from visible stitches, so the picture holds its handmade grain at any size. It belongs to the tradition of things made in November to be hung in December. Count the stitches and the scale shifts: what reads as a landscape is a few thousand crosses in coloured thread.

    Styling tips

This is a print for a hallway, a stairwell or a living room wall that changes with the season, and the tartan border means it needs no help from a mat. Red, green and navy place it firmly in Christmas, so hang it where that is welcome and store it the rest of the year, or let it stay as a piece of needlework. Dark wood frames suit the plaid; black is too hard. On canvas the stitch texture and the linen weave meet, which suits the subject better than paper does.

    Size guide

The size of our posters always refers to the actual paper size — not the motif. Some posters include a white border that frames the artwork, similar to a passepartout. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the product description and is also visible in the product images.

Our sizes in cm and inches:

    • 21x30 cm / 8.3x11.8"

    • 30x40 cm / 11.8x15.7"

    • 40x50 cm / 15.7x19.7"

    • 50x50 cm / 19.7x19.7"

    • 50x70 cm / 19.7x27.6"

    • 70x100 cm / 27.6x39.4"

When choosing a frame, make sure to match it to the poster size. Our frames are designed to fit our posters exactly — a 50x70 cm poster takes a 50x70 cm frame. No trimming or adjusting needed.

We offer a wide range of sizes to suit any wall, from smaller formats perfect for shelves and art walls, to larger statement pieces that anchor a room. Not sure which size is right for your space? Feel free to contact us — we're happy to help.
