Art collaboration

Urban Print Studio

Alongside Ollie works Callum, our in house graphic designer who enjoys working with shapes and colour, with a keen eye for abstract work. This type of art has always taken Callum’s eye and you can see it reflected in his designs.

How do you see your art evolving in the future?

We are just releasing our new Minimal food and drink designs exclusively here on Postery, but we hope to develop more in this style. We have found that we can replicate our unique vision into different themes and are currently developing a travel collection in the same style so watch out for when these will be released.

What would you like to communicate with your art?

Our art is created to represent themes that our customers can relate to but produced in our own unique minimalist visual style. We want our customers to enjoy the art
we create due to most of our posters having a strong passion, hobby or love for our customers. Our new cocktail posters are a perfect example of being something our audience can relate to. Who doesn’t know a gin and tonic lover? It is this reason that makes our posters the perfect gift.

Cheers Mate!
A conversation behind the prints

Urban Print Studio is a South London based design studio producing aesthetic graphic prints across a variety of categories. Taking inspiration from design styles including Minimalism and Mid Century Modern, the prints they produce are bold, striking and in their consistent signature style. Their mission is to produce high quality artwork that gets compliments and always adds something to the room it’s in.

How did you become interested in creating art?

Our main designer is Ollie, who oversees the visual lead on every project and approves each poster for print. Originally a children’s toy designer, he has always had a strong interest in graphic design and building brands, Urban Print Studio being the perfect outlet for his creative mind to be put to work. It was designing brand graphics and style guides that really inspired Ollie to test his hand at poster design, founding Urban Print Studio in 2020, the rest is history.

Any challenges in particular that you have come across in your art path?

Sometimes we find that the running themes we base our art on can sometimes be quite similar, so bringing in new design ideas or shape features greatly helps us to change this up. Bringing Callum on board has helped us to bring a fresh eye to the company.

To sum up, is there something you’d like to share with those who struggle to find their artistic expression and inspiration, any advice or a word of encouragement?

Keep making, and keep trying. Test out what works and what doesn’t and don’t be disheartened if it doesn’t go right the first time.

Cheers Mate!
