Karolina Kling is back with a new ravishing collection for Postery. We paid her a visit at home, where she gave us a peek into her beautiful apartment decorated with contemporary art and design that served as a perfect backdrop for her new prints.
You've just released your second collection for Postery. What was your inspiration for this collection?
I went to Tuscany to stay at Villa Lena, where I sat and painted for days. It's a great environment there, which is quite visible in the images I made with watercolours – Tuscan Blue and Tuscan Green. I wanted a distinct theme for this collection, although the images differ in expression.
"Almost every object in my apartment means a lot to me and is connected to a specific memory."
Your home is so beautifully decorated. Do you have any good advice on decorating with art at home?
What kind of art, interior decor, and circumstances you have at home to create a nice styling is so personal. I love to find originals at exhibitions and markets. If I'm lucky, I find art at a reasonable price, including sculptural objects. I like it when interior pieces carry memories, symbolising different periods in life and travel experiences. Almost every object in my apartment means a lot to me and is connected to a specific memory. If I had more money, I would invest in loads of art and become a proper collector! One day :)
The holiday season is upon us! What do you like the most about Christmas?
I adore Christmas!! All the decorations, the Christmas tree, the lights. Mmmm. And since having a kid, it became even more special to me. Nothing beats the scent of a freshly cut Christmas tree!
