    • A faded painting of a meadow of small white flowers running back to red-roofed houses on a low horizon, overlaid with a grid of flat olive and cream dots
    • White lilies with yellow stamens painted against a deep brown ground, with flat yellow dots scattered across flowers and background alike
    • A young woman in a deep petrol blue dress reading a book in a wooden chair against a pale plaster wall, with READ MORE BOOKS in peach capitals across the skirt

Retro Disco Bar is a black and white photograph of two women at a bar table, except that the one on the left has a mirror ball where her head should be. Her companion smiles straight at the camera, entirely unbothered, and the scene carries on around them with beer bottles, a glass, a cigarette and a printed poster for a Thursday night band at Forest Park. The grain and the cut of the coats place it somewhere in the nineteen-forties, and the mirror ball is the only thing that does not belong. Greys do all the work, from the bright wall to the dark suit. It is a party poster with a straight face.

    Styling tips

Black is the obvious choice and keeps the photograph graphic, while oak softens the greys if you want it warmer. It could work well in a bar corner, a hallway or above a drinks cabinet, somewhere the joke suits the room. Pair it with dark wood, smoked glass and a little chrome. A wide white mat board gives the photograph the gallery treatment and makes the mirror ball the first thing you see.

    Size guide

The size of our posters always refers to the actual paper size — not the motif. Some posters include a white border that frames the artwork, similar to a passepartout. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the product description and is also visible in the product images.

Our sizes in cm and inches:

    • 21x30 cm / 8.3x11.8"

    • 30x40 cm / 11.8x15.7"

    • 40x50 cm / 15.7x19.7"

    • 50x50 cm / 19.7x19.7"

    • 50x70 cm / 19.7x27.6"

    • 70x100 cm / 27.6x39.4"

When choosing a frame, make sure to match it to the poster size. Our frames are designed to fit our posters exactly — a 50x70 cm poster takes a 50x70 cm frame. No trimming or adjusting needed.

We offer a wide range of sizes to suit any wall, from smaller formats perfect for shelves and art walls, to larger statement pieces that anchor a room. Not sure which size is right for your space? Feel free to contact us — we're happy to help.

    Material

Our posters are printed on 200 g/m² premium matte paper made from FSC® Mix Credit Paper 100%. The paper is archive-proof, meaning it won't yellow over time, and all printing is done in modern facilities with ISO 14001 certification.

Our frames come in a variety of colours and materials, all ethically sourced and produced with care for people and the environment. Available in multiple sizes to suit any wall and any home. If you have any questions about our products, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.

    The Art Concept

Founded by a Polish illustrator, The Art Concept Gallery is an online destination for a whimsical journey through the artistry of old masters reborn in a contemporary embrace. The gallery is a fusion of classical masterpieces from the Renaissance to Realism, each piece revitalised with a modern twist that transcends the boundaries of time. Alongside this runs a thread built on pattern and form, where checkered vases, polka-dotted blooms, and richly spotted creatures turn an earthy, muted palette into more graphic, decorative territory. Across the collection, the balance between reverence for classical craftsmanship and a light, playful sense of humour gives each piece its own distinct character.
