    In the same series

    • Painterly landscape with dramatic sky, hills, trees, and stream in muted earth tones
    • Painterly landscape with dark trees, pale blue sky, soft clouds, and a golden field in front
    • One enormous blue grey cloud bank building over the sea, its underside catching the last warm light
    • A view straight down into turquoise water where dark rocks break the surface in thick white foam

Forgotten Forest puts a stand of thin trees against a warm sand ground and paints them as though seen through weather. The trunks rise in single confident strokes, the canopies are scrubbed on in dry grey green, and the undergrowth is dragged across the lower third until it dissolves. Nothing is given a hard edge, so the depth comes entirely from how much paint sits in each pass. The warm ground shows through everywhere and keeps the picture from turning cold. It reads as a memory of a wood rather than a record of one.

    Styling tips

Pale oak picks up the sand ground, while black makes the trees read more sharply. It suits a bedroom, a hallway or any wall where you want nature without a photograph. Pair it with linen, rattan and unpainted wood, and keep the surrounding palette muted. A wide mat board gives it extra calm if the wall is busy.

    Size guide

The size of our posters always refers to the actual paper size — not the motif. Some posters include a white border that frames the artwork, similar to a passepartout. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the product description and is also visible in the product images.

Our sizes in cm and inches:

    • 21x30 cm / 8.3x11.8"

    • 30x40 cm / 11.8x15.7"

    • 40x50 cm / 15.7x19.7"

    • 50x50 cm / 19.7x19.7"

    • 50x70 cm / 19.7x27.6"

    • 70x100 cm / 27.6x39.4"

When choosing a frame, make sure to match it to the poster size. Our frames are designed to fit our posters exactly — a 50x70 cm poster takes a 50x70 cm frame. No trimming or adjusting needed.

We offer a wide range of sizes to suit any wall, from smaller formats perfect for shelves and art walls, to larger statement pieces that anchor a room. Not sure which size is right for your space? Feel free to contact us — we're happy to help.
