Baked with Love Poster

A slice of raspberry layer cake sits between the words baked and with love, all of it hand-lettered in pink and deep cherry. The cake is painted in flat gouache blocks: an apricot sponge, a line of cream, a seam of crushed berries and a pink glaze on top, finished with a whipped rosette and a single raspberry. The lettering changes weight from line to line, which keeps it feeling written rather than set. Everything floats on soft off-white with no frame or border. It is unapologetically sweet, and it knows it.

This belongs in a kitchen or a bakery corner, ideally near where the baking actually happens. The pinks are bright but the ground is soft, so it lifts a pale wall without taking it over. A white or light oak frame keeps it friendly; black makes it look like a menu. It pairs naturally with other food illustrations in the same palette, and a vertical pair above a counter works better than a single print lost on a large wall.
