Chalks and Shapes I builds a composition from translucent rectangles and curved fields laid over one another in navy, cobalt, cornflower and sand, each one thin enough that the colour beneath keeps showing through. The pigment is matt and slightly grainy, the way soft pastel sits on paper, so no edge in the picture is ever quite hard. One pale cream form rises through the left half and is cut off by a dark blue corner, which is the only place the composition resolves into something like a figure. A wide greige border holds the sheet and the artist has signed it at the lower right.

Product ID 469802A blue frame could work well here, since the print already carries its own greige border and a third tone would crowd it. Light oak keeps things warmer if the wall runs cool. Above a bed or a reading chair the muted blues settle rather than demand attention. It pairs nicely with linen, pale stone and furniture in dark wood.
The size of our posters always refers to the actual paper size — not the motif. Some posters include a white border that frames the artwork, similar to a passepartout. Where this is the case, it will be noted in the product description and is also visible in the product images.
Our sizes in cm and inches:
21x30 cm / 8.3x11.8"
30x40 cm / 11.8x15.7"
40x50 cm / 15.7x19.7"
50x50 cm / 19.7x19.7"
50x70 cm / 19.7x27.6"
70x100 cm / 27.6x39.4"
When choosing a frame, make sure to match it to the poster size. Our frames are designed to fit our posters exactly — a 50x70 cm poster takes a 50x70 cm frame. No trimming or adjusting needed.
We offer a wide range of sizes to suit any wall, from smaller formats perfect for shelves and art walls, to larger statement pieces that anchor a room. Not sure which size is right for your space? Feel free to contact us — we're happy to help.
Our posters are printed on 200 g/m² premium matte paper made from FSC® Mix Credit Paper 100%. The paper is archive-proof, meaning it won't yellow over time, and all printing is done in modern facilities with ISO 14001 certification.

Mareike Böhmer is a freelance artist from Germany whose work spans abstract art and nature photography. Her journey began in 2012 with vibrant, geometric abstract graphics, before frequent travels to Scandinavia softened her approach, drawing her toward more organic forms and a gentler colour palette. In the past year and a half, she has expanded into larger-scale paintings on canvas, alongside her earlier paper-based work, while her photography leans into minimalist composition and distinctive lighting, capturing the same meditative balance she finds in nature. Her work has been featured in interior magazines including ELLE Decoration, Schöner Wohnen, and VTwonen, and is part of select collections at IKEA.
