An illustration that shows four vases in different shapes against a light blue background.
We introduce the colourful and brilliant artist and illustrator Anastacia Sholik, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her artworks live in a universe of their own, presented to the viewer in a bold and distinct colour palette. She features abstracted giant fruits and a crowd of figurines painted in delicate prime colours. A rhythmical still life of vases challenges you to rethink the shape of flowers, and a female popping pink character embraces a chequered tulip that seems to come alive. Her compositions are playful and intriguing and invite you to a sophisticated rainbow setting that is both harmonious and eye-catching. If you aim to lighten up a space, you might have found your sanctuary.
Anastasia Sholik uses a mix of mediums, and all her works are painted by hand on paper or canvas. Some of her collaborators have been The New York Times and Slowdown Studio. She studied at the Open International University of Human Development in Kyiv, where she received her bachelor of design.
